Five Bits of Music I Enjoyed in 2024
So here's the thing- People who review music try to find justifications for their gut reactions. This is an attempt to make their thoughts seem more intellectual than they are. I'm not going to do that. I'm just going to share some music I greatly enjoyed in 2024.
I figure that if you agree, you agree.
And if you don't agree, I can't help you.

Hanabie are from Japan. Heavy Metal/ pop/ dance. If you like Electric Callboy or Maximum the Hormone, you'll probably like Hanabie.

Pete & Bas are from the UK. Hip-hop. Hard beats and hard bars.

Locked Shut are from the USA. Punk Metal. I find they musically are closer to the next act than the Ramones...

Slayer was from the USA. Metal AF. This album is the odd man out because it's an old record that I discovered last year and enjoyed a great deal.

Kendrick Lamar is from USA. He's probably the most written about artist in 2024.
Obviously I listened to a lot more than this, but these are the ones that stand out in my memory at the end of the year. Hopefully the already sorry state of 2025 doesn't deny me some joy.
